Steve and Greg met in High school, as any conventional way to make friends when you're young. Though from the start there was nothing conventional about their friendship. They ran in "different circles" but managed to stay friends. After graduation, Steve went away to college, but never lost touch with Greg.
A few years past, Steve returned home from college, business minded, and reconnected with Greg. That's when Steve's affinity for tattoos & the industry really began. He could always appreciate the beauty and the art of Greg's work, but never really understood the draw, until he got his first tattoo. As time went on, Steve found himself spending more and more time with Greg and Danny at Smoking Gun. After getting married and having their first children, both Steve and Greg began to think if having their own shop, run with Steve's business mind and Greg's natural god given talent, would be a worthwhile venture. They discussed it for some time and with the unwavering support of their wives and families they collaborated and opened "The Tattoo Shop, Inc." located at 2616 Route 112, Medford, NY, coincidentally just a few doors down from where Greg's dad, JC Fly, had his own shop and where Greg began his life long passion as a tattoo artist. Presently at the shop, we have a huge poster of J.C. Fly on the wall and just above it a plaque with the words "RESPECT", which is what JC Fly always commanded in his own inadvertent way, Our shop is an old school based studio reflecting the great works of Don Ed Hardy, Sailor Jerry, Jack Rudy, J.C. Fly, Bob Roberts, etc.
Today we proudly offer outstanding tattoo artists including, Pepe who has jumped onto the international tattoo stage & is revered by many and Cheryl holds the title for longest in the business at our shop boasting incredible custom tattoo work.
